Children who need to cross the road to get to school will need to ensure they arrive and leave school when the Road Patrol Monitors are on duty. We ask parents not to send children before 8.30am. Supervision is not available until 8.30am. Children are expected to be in their classrooms by 8.55am. We like children to be on time.
We have a pedestrian crossing at the Wakefield Road school entrance which is patrolled by our Road Patrol Monitors every morning and afternoon. Road Patrol Monitors are on duty and the school gates are closed from 8.30am – 8.45am (mornings) and from 2.55pm – 3.10pm (afternoons) whilst the children are using the road crossing. A duty teacher supervises road crossings before and after school each day. You can assist school road safety by parking a little distance away from the school entrance when dropping children at school or picking them up after school. The gates at the school’s main entrance are closed from 8.30am – 9.40am.
