Breakfast Club, Lunches and Tuck Shop

Tuck Shop

An independent caterer operates a lunch service. Lunches can be ordered from the kitchen in the school hall before school each day. Children must order their lunches at the Tuck Shop between 8.30am – 9.00am, orders received after 9.00am will not be accepted. Lunches will be given to classes at 12.45pm.

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club operates on Tuesday to Thursday morning. This is an opportunity for children to have breakfast and meet together before the learning day starts.

Fruit in School

Favona Primary School is part of the ‘ Fruit in Schools’ Programme. This is a Ministry of Health initiative. Children are given a different piece of fruit each day at morning tea time.

Milk in Schools

Favona Primary School is part of the Fonterra ‘Milk in Schools’ Programme. Children are given a small carton of milk each day. If you do not want your child to have milk, please let us know.

If you need to drop off your child’s lunch, please bring it to the office, the office staff can take it to the classroom. Please try to ensure your children bring nutritional food to school for their lunches. This helps them to learn. We encourage water as the best drink.
