Favona Primary School opened in 1974.  It was one of the first open plan design schools built in Auckland

The school has been remodeled and all classes are now a mixture of single cell classes and classes designed as more flexible learning spaces

The school emblem of a Tui sitting on a Kowhai tree branch reflects the school pride in environment.  There are several healthy Kowhai trees in the school grounds.

Our school colour is red and our school sports teams and cultural groups proudly wear red t-shirts with the school emblem emblazoned on them.
